How to Activate the DepEd SIM Card by Smart and register the “DEPED 349 PLAN” (Step-by-step tutorial with images)

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) has already begun distributing sim cards with connectivity load to its teaching and non-teaching professionals to ensure ease of communication and unhampered delivery of services.

By the end of July 2021, any sim cards that have not been supplied to school and SDO workers should be returned to the Division Supply Officer for proper accounting.

SIM Card recipients must register at https://depedconnect.com.ph/

On June 30, 2021, all sim cards will be activated with a 34GB load that will be valid for one year. Sim cards that have not been registered on the website for the second month will not be loaded.

SIM cards will be pre-loaded with the DepEd 349 Plan, which includes 34 GB of monthly mobile data. Upon activation of the SIM Card, recipients will receive 1 GB of data.

To summarize, DepEd 349 Plan has 34GB Monthly Data Allowance with the following setup:

• 1.02 GB Study Anywhere (Daily Limit. Renews daily for 30 days with a total of 30GB per month)
• 4.10 GB Shareable Data (Additional extra data per month. Excess usage in the “Study Anywhere” will deduct here)
• 100 MB Free Data from Gigalife
• Excess UNUSED SHAREABLE data will be added to your next month’s Shareable data.

The steps to activate a DepEd SIM card and register with the “DEPED 349 PLAN” are listed below:

Step 1: Using Playstore or Appstore, download “GIGA LIFE” App on your phone. * available on Android and IOS

Step 2: Login using your new sim card number and input your preferred password. You must follow the conditions of creating a good password as indicated in the image below. Then press sign up.

Step 3: Read and check the boxes of the App’s Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy. Then press “I ACCEPT”.

Step 4: Once registered, you will be redirected to the Apps USER INTERFACE.

Step 5: Click “CHECK USAGE” to check your initial load balance of 34Gb.
